We have been breeding, showing, and loving Basenjis since 1989. Our mentor, Susan Coe, Akuaba Basenjis, taught us to work hard to breed healthy and good tempered dogs and we have thoroughly enjoyed doing so. We show our Basenjis in competition at American Kennel Club shows around the United States, have experimented with UKC shows and have competed in Europe. We DNA test our Basenjis for Fanconi syndrome before breeding. Our puppies are sold with a placement contract, medical information, and our pet puppies are spayed or neutered. Avongara Imba Tena SDHR – In 1988 and 1989 the Basenji Club of America imported Basenjis from Africa to increase the gene pool.
